Conviently located in central Taipei.

Conviently located in central Taipei. Hotel room is spacious and relatively clean. Staffs are very friendly, I arrived very early and they looked after my luggages while I went for a walk. On New Year's Eve, they put on a supper for guest who attended the fireworks viewing from the top of the hotel. Restaurant is good, we had yum cha lunch and enjoy the cuisine very much. Highly recommended.

It is dated and needs a do up to the hotel.

What was the highlight of Taipei Fullerton Hotel - East

Great location, poor customer service, breakfast not worth price, and really old looking rooms.

The quadruple room was clean and had 2 large beds that can comfortably sleep 4 . The hotel location is conveniently near MRT stops and also sightseeing spots like Rao He Night Market and 101. Lobby and room wi-fi were easily accessible though a bit slow at times. The water pressure and heat of the water in the bathroom was good.

Customer service was terrible, breakfast food is not worth $13 a day per head (you can definitely get better food elsewhere and/or similar caliber hotels offer better food at the same price), the hotel room and bathroom was super ancient looking with yellowing wallpaper and blow dryer is weird and old looking. The hotel was nothing like what it looks on the photos (this includes the breakfast) and the overall experience with the hotel front desk staff and the room was poor. The breakfast was so bad that we often overheard other customers complain about it as we were eating... overall not recommended unless you don't care about customer service, good breakfast, and rooms with up-to-date decor.

I expected a lot from the hotel because of the brand. Sadly, the hotel is not maintained well.

+ side - the room had a view of Taipei 101 - the restaurant, where breakfast is served, was clean - the restaurant staff were polite

Negative Side: - the corridor leading to the rooms is dirty, like it hasn’t been vacummed in a long period of time - the room doors are also dirty/stained - the bathroom ceiling was moldy (visible black stains due to molds) - our bedroom was not completely clean. There was even orange seeds on the floor, I had to put the two queen beds together to mask away bad smell coming from the space between the beds!

Faded glory in the busy city.

I was pleased to get an upgrade to a much larger room. The hotel is nicely situated on the MRT and there are plenty quality shops and restaurants around.

The hotel is seriously worn out at some spots; the large breakfast buffet is rather blend. The gym is a joke with a smelly attick room with outdated and broken material.

Convenient location, good staff, and someone is in the lobby 24/7. Room I stayed in were clean and spacious

Rooms were a little out dated. TV was working poorly, something wrong with video and the remote was not working properly. Shower was very sensitive with the hot water.

When I arrived, they gave me a smelly moldy room. The room was a smoking room before. Later on they changed to a non-smoking room. The air is moldy and stinky. After stayed in the room for 20 minutes, I just could not bear it any more. I asked the counter to change a room at any cost or I may get sick next day. The management was nice and quickly upgrade me to a room in the executive floor. The room is much much much better than the previous one. I appreciate the switching, but why put me there at the first place. If I didn't complaint, I would stay there for the whole night and might get sick in the morning. I don't know what is the mentality of this hotel. I understand it is a discount price; but, the price is not cheaper than other hotels around. They think the can cheat their own people (Taiwanese) easier?? I saw many Japanese and indian people around in the breakfast. Do they all get the stinky moldy room?? The last room is nice and worth the money; the first room is the worst ever in my last 40 years traveling experience. Kuei-Tu Chang, Ph.D.

Great location & staff members but room not good for childre & people with allergy to dust and mites

What I like the most is the location between MRT station, free parking back of the building, staff members, and originally free upgrade (side note about that later). The original room came with fruits also very thoughtful. Many elevators to support the massive guests.

As mention earlier, free upgrade to suites was great, came with a very large room, living room, two bathrooms, and a full plate of fruits (very thoughtful) but none in new room. As we came out of the elevator, you can smell the carpet but cover with scents and when we went into the room the smell was there too. As I start unpacking, my children start coughing. We thought was just a phase and it will stop but it didn't and one of my child start throwing up. Again didn't think too much about this but for myself whom is very sensitive to dust and mite, I put on my mask and not sure why I thought of this but I called housekeeping and asked if there was air purifier to bring to the room in addition to asking them to help clean up the throw up on the carpet. The staff member brought an air purifier for us but they shared with us earliest they can clean up is tomorrow morning which we told them no problem tomorrow is okay. After the staff member left few minutes later, they called us and told us they will move us to another floor that has been remodeled. It was a mix feeling since we will be leaving the huge room but going to a cleaner room. Then we found out they upgrade us again to a business suites and the remodel looks great. However, here's the area I would like to advice to the hotel. 1. Staff members - Keep up the good work 2. I understand it's old hotel and their first one, either remove carpet and use small carpet and vacuum the carpet everyday. 3. Provide air purifier per room and dehumidifier each room. 4. Brush off shower heads and any corner area of the bathroom. 5. Clean up each drawer (found a small bug in the work desk drawer between the hotel manual) 6. For rooms haven't remodeled, item 3 and 4 is a must. 7. For rooms that have been remodeled, the window and walls are cover with new wallpaper but the quality of the job can be better.

Friendly staff, but this is a hotel that is in dire need of renovation and repairs.

Staff was very friendly and attentive, ans swiftly allowed me to check out when i wasn't happy with my stay.

The hotel is old and seems to have never had a renovation; every floor smelled musty, as if there was some flooding and it never really was remediated. They "upgraded” me to the executive suite, which sounded exciting, but upon seeing the room, there wasn't much executive about it. Bathroom was ok -- i could deal with the slow shower drain and the moldy grout. I could have tolerated the room if the A/C was working. Fortunately we lucked out with the weather, which wasn't so warm. The first and only night we stayed there, my husband and I sweat throughout the night. The room, the hallway, even the lobby -- so warm and stuffy. I told the staff that my room's A/C wasn't working, and they said they'd check on it while i was out for the morning, and when i arrived back to my hotel in the afternoon, nothing had changed. When i asked to check out early next morning, they immediately offered me a late check out that same day with no penalty. This made me think that they knew the A/C was broken in the building, and weren't letting guests know... also i wasn't expecting much from the fitness room; surprisingly it had a rower and a bike, which i could have used if the building wasn't so stuffy.

Housekeeping needs to improve. I had to constantly remind the staff about cleaning. And also replenishing the tea, coffee, sugar etc. There is also a tendency for Room Service to forget basics like Salt & Pepper, Sugar etc
